Lorsa, the Tibetan New Year is celebrated on the 1st day of 1st Tibetan Calendar month. This Lorsa (Water Hare Year 2150) falls on 21 Feb. 2023. There will be traditional monastic Lorsa ceremony early in the morning at the main Prayer Hall, attended by all – abbot, former abbots, Tulkus, Geshes and monks besides department heads, with prayer offerings and serving of sweet rice / tea and cookies.
